1" PEX Stainless Steel Clamp – ASTM F2098 Ring for Secure PEX-to-Barb Connections

The 1" PEX stainless steel clamp is a mechanical fastening component used to secure PEX tubing to ASTM-compliant insert fittings in water distribution and hydronic heating systems. It provides a uniform, 360° compression seal without the use of adhesives, soldering, or threaded fittings.

Installation Guidelines

Place the clamp over the PEX tubing and insert the barb fitting fully into the tube. Position the clamp 1/8" to 1/4" from the tubing end and compress the clamp ear using an approved PEX clamp tool. No thread sealant or tape is necessary. Verify connection integrity via pressure testing per applicable code requirements.

Performance Consideration

Stainless steel clamps are preferred in areas prone to corrosion, aggressive water chemistry, or high-humidity conditions. The one-piece construction provides consistent radial pressure and maintains sealing force under thermal cycling and long-term mechanical loading.
