The Harris 331755 Sterling® solder is a lead-free plumbing solder composed of a tin-copper-selenium alloy. It is designed for potable water system applications and meets health and environmental compliance standards including ASTM B32 Alloy Grade TC and NSF/ANSI/CAN standards for drinking water system components.

This solder is suitable for use with copper pipe and fittings and provides consistent wetting and flow characteristics. It has a low melting range of 410°F to 418°F, allowing efficient joint formation with minimal thermal input. The product is supplied in a 1 lb spool with a wire diameter of 0.118 inches.

Application Guidelines

Use Sterling® solder with approved lead-free flux. Apply flux to clean, properly prepared copper joints before heating. Heat joint uniformly until solder flows into the joint by capillary action. Avoid overheating to maintain alloy performance and ensure proper bonding.
