The Blue Monster 70885 PTFE Thread Seal Tape is a full-density, general-purpose thread sealing tape manufactured for use in piping systems carrying water, air, hydraulic fluids, and other non-corrosive media. This tape is constructed from virgin PTFE resin and is suitable for sealing threaded connections on a range of metallic and non-metallic piping materials.

With a total length of 1,429 inches per roll, this tape provides extended coverage for multiple applications. Its thicker profile (0.0035") allows for faster sealing with fewer wraps compared to standard low-density tapes.

Application Guidelines

• Apply to clean, dry, tapered male threads only
• Wrap in the direction of thread rotation (clockwise), overlapping by 50%
• Recommended 2 to 3 full wraps for standard pipe sizes
• Do not use on flare, compression, or straight-threaded fittings
